AI in Finance Summit in London
The AI in Finance Summit in London is the European edition of RE•WORK's summit series on artificial intelligence in financial services, and it is built for the people who put models into production rather than for a general management audience. The next London edition takes place on September 15, 2026. If you run a model in a bank and have to defend it to a risk committee, the speakers here have done the same.
Who organizes the summit
The organizer is RE•WORK, which runs AI conferences by sector and holds the AI in Finance series in several cities. Its own description of the London summit names the audience directly: "Explore the latest AI tools & techniques and their application in the financial sector with data scientists, ML engineers, researchers & CTOs across the industry."
That audience is the reason the sessions stay technical. The organizer also runs AI in Finance editions in North America, so the London date is the one that matters for a European team.
What the program covers
Wealth and portfolio management lead the agenda, followed by retail banking, trading and payments innovation, which is to say the classic business lines before any discussion of the technology for its own sake. Each is treated through what a model does there: client segmentation and advice in wealth, credit decisions and servicing in retail banking, execution and signal research in trading.
The engineering half covers how a model reaches production and stays there: data pipelines, evaluation, monitoring and the model risk documentation a supervisor asks for. Finance Loop treats the same questions on its pages for generative AI in finance and the EU AI Act in financial services.
Who attends, and what London adds
The room is made up of quantitative and data teams from banks, insurers, asset managers and the vendors that supply them, which makes it a place to compare implementation detail rather than vendor claims. A head of data science who wants to know how a peer solved monitoring gets a straighter answer here than in a sales conversation.
London adds the depth of its own financial sector: the city holds the largest cluster of quantitative finance teams in Europe, together with the supervisory bodies that question their models, so the speaker list draws on local practice. For continental teams the trip is short, and a German bank often sends the same people who attend the Frankfurt AI events, which AI in Frankfurt covers.
When is the AI in Finance Summit London?
The next London edition takes place on September 15, 2026, as the organizer's website states. The site does not yet name the venue for that date, and it lists no later London edition, so a 2027 European date is still open. The organizer's AI in Finance dates for New York, Chicago and Hoboken are separate events outside Europe.
Is this a technical conference or a management one?
It is technical. The organizer addresses data scientists, machine learning engineers, researchers and CTOs, so the talks go into method and deployment. A board member who wants the strategic picture is better served by a broader banking conference, and the overview of AI finance conferences in Europe says which event answers which question.
What else runs in Europe on AI in finance?
London carries several AI and financial services conferences across the year, among them The Future of AI in Financial Services by FStech. In the German-speaking market the KI Exchange and the Vienna VI3NNA Congress cover the field, and Finance Loop runs its own AI sessions for finance professionals between these dates.
The AI in Finance Summit and Finance Loop
Finance Loop is the meeting place for AI in European finance: its members build and govern models at banks, insurers and asset managers, and they bring the methods from events like this summit back into their own teams. Finance Loop covers the subject across its tracks, from model risk in Risk & Compliance to AI in portfolio work.
Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
