Michael Wellenbeck is a member of the Finance Loop Advisory Board.

Michael is a seasoned finance professional with over two decades of experience in financial market infrastructure and banking. He currently serves as Head of Strategy at Blocksize Capital GmbH, as well as Managing Partner at both Wellenbecks Advisory Services GmbH and Qyte GmbH. He is passionate about bulding bridges between traditional finance and the emerging blockchain based finance ecosystems.

Michael holds a master’s degree in business administration from RWTH Aachen University. His career includes significant roles such as Senior Vice President for Deutsche Börse, NYSE and Euronext. He has worked with numerous exchanges, CCPs, and CSDs across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia in redefining their strategies.
