Digital Money Association
The Digital Money Association (DMA) is an industry body for stablecoins and other forms of digital money. It works for the adoption of digital money through education, networking and policy work with governments and regulators. Its members include stablecoin issuers that operate in the US, the EU, Singapore, Australia and Turkey.
The association started as Stablecoin Standard, and its legal entity is still Stablecoin Standard Ltd, a company limited by guarantee in England and Wales. It publishes the Stablecoin Standard, a set of principles for stablecoin issuers, and StableCheck, a scoring system for stablecoins. Its events take place online and in person in several countries.
The Stablecoin Standard for issuers
Beth Haddock, global policy lead of the association, presented the standard in October 2024 at its annual flagship event in Singapore. A policy working group wrote it as high-level principles that strengthen operational resilience and transparency and make the commitments of issuers consistent across jurisdictions. Nine companies endorsed it at launch: Archblock, BiLira, Bitstamp, GMO Trust, JST Digital, Fireblocks, Solana Foundation, StraitsX and Zodia Markets.
The standard now has two frameworks, one for payment stablecoins and one for DeFi stablecoins, and the association reviews it every year. StableCheck builds on it; the association describes StableCheck as a collaborative scoring system for stablecoins produced by the industry.
Policy work: FinCEN, the GENIUS Act and compliance
The policy group of the association writes submissions to regulators, legislators and standard-setters and meets them in person. Its members are practitioners from the US, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific. In 2025 the group sent comment letters to the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and published a briefing that compares the Stablecoin Standard with the US GENIUS Act. A white paper, Programmable Compliance for Digital Money and Assets, covers technology for preventing financial crime on blockchains.
Founders and team
The association names three co-founders: Christian Walker, its chairman, Ramy Soliman, who leads business development, and Ryan de Souza, who leads the ecosystem work. Christina Corrigan is general manager, Beth Haddock is global policy lead, Raj Parekh is payments lead and Oliver Madden is head of membership and education.
