France FinTech
France FinTech is the association of French financial technology companies and was founded in June 2015 at the initiative of entrepreneurs. The non-profit association groups firms that bring new technology, operating models or business models to the financial services industry. Its member companies work in financing, banking, payments, regtech, insurance, risk management and asset management.
France FinTech promotes the French fintech sector at home and abroad and represents French fintech companies before public authorities, the financial regulator and the wider industry. The association answers consultations, publishes fundraising figures for the sector and runs a yearly program of meetings for founders, banks, investors and supervisors. A selection committee reviews every application before a company becomes a member.
Members and membership fees
The selection committee of France FinTech looks at the year of creation, the stage of the product, the funds raised, the headcount and the locations of each applicant. Companies that do not meet every criterion can join as partners, and the committee also sets the membership level of each company. The members are grouped by field: financing, banking, regtech, payment services, functional services, insurtech, risk management and asset management.
The annual fee depends on the stage of the company, from 600 euros for early-stage firms to 2,500 euros for unicorns, with 1,200 euros for startups and 1,800 euros for scale-ups. A fee of 3,500 euros applies to acquired fintechs, subsidiaries, intrapreneurship projects and foreign fintechs that have created jobs in France. Every fee level includes the same level of service for the member company.
Financing and insurance colleges
The financing college of France FinTech brings together providers of new financing and investment solutions along the whole value chain of that market. The college began with crowdfunding platforms after Financement Participatif France joined France FinTech in June 2024, and the association restructured it in autumn 2025. A second college covers insurance, and both colleges hold their own thematic meetings for their member companies.
President and board
Alain Clot is president of France FinTech, and Kristen Charvin is its general delegate. The board brings together founders and managers of member companies, and the annual general assembly renews part of its seats.
The general assembly of 22 September 2026 renewed five seats on the board. Thomas Danset, co-founder of La Première Brique, and Virgile Delporte, co-founder of Testamento, joined as new directors, while Cyril Chiche of Lydia Solutions, Charlotte Gaudin of AML Factory and Benjamin Pedrini of Epsor were reelected. The board also includes Gimena Diaz of Kallpa Pay, Mark Kepeneghian of Lise, Caroline Lamaud Dupont of Anaxago, Jean-Gaston de Lassus of MiTrust, Eric Mignot of +Simple and Arbia Smiti of Rosaly. Olivier Goy, a founding member and vice-president for eleven years, left the board in 2026 together with Keyvan Nilforoushan.
Upcoming fintech and finance events in France
FinTech R:Evolution in Paris
FinTech R:Evolution is the yearly flagship event of France FinTech for founders, financial institutions, investors and policymakers. The archive of the event goes back to the 2016 edition, and the twelfth edition is planned at Station F, the startup campus in Paris. Earlier speakers on its stage include Emmanuel Macron, Alexandre Prot of Qonto and Pascal Gauthier of Ledger.
French FinTech Weeks with ACPR and AMF
The French FinTech Weeks are a national program of fintech events that France FinTech runs together with the banking supervisor ACPR and the market authority AMF. The initiative started in 2020, and a steering committee of the three organizers selects the events that companies and other organizations propose. Proposed events cover payments, insurance, financing, savings and investment, invoicing, accounting, employee benefits, asset tokenization and the rules for these fields.
The sixth edition ran from 1 to 16 October 2026 in cities across France. Its program included the ACPR-AMF Fintech Forum, the thematic meetings of the financing and insurance colleges and the forum of Lyon Place Financière.
Member events and task forces
Besides its two large events, France FinTech organizes thematic meetings, trade clubs and evening events called Soirées Exception for its members and partners. Task forces are working groups of members on subjects that the association treats as priorities for the sector, and each one prepares positions for talks with public authorities.
Current task forces work on the FIDA regulation, on the transposition of the second Consumer Credit Directive, on the French budget bill for 2026 and on the PEA share savings plan. Another group prepares the yearly financial education week, and the AI task force answered a consultation of the European Commission. Earlier task forces wrote recommendations on verification of payee and a position paper on PSD3 and the Payment Services Regulation.
Fundraising barometer and fintech map
France FinTech publishes a monthly barometer of the equity that French fintech companies raise, with debt financing left out. In September 2026, French fintechs raised 116 million euros in nine deals, after 371 million euros in the first quarter of 2026. The yearly Panorama des fintech françaises maps the French fintech sector, and companies can ask to be added before each update.
For 2024, KPMG counted 1,145 fintech companies in France, which raised about 1.3 billion euros in 101 deals that year. By that count, France had the largest fintech sector in the European Union, with about 54,000 people working in it.
Work at European level
France FinTech is a founding member of the European Digital Finance Association, which speaks for national fintech associations before the EU institutions. Kristen Charvin represents France FinTech on the supervisory board of EDFA, which elects the board of directors of the European association.
In France, the association sits on the committee of the ACPR-AMF Fintech Forum. The fintech working group of the France Payments Forum works with France FinTech to give payment fintechs more visibility in France and Europe.
France FinTech and Finance Loop
Fintech founders in France and the members of Finance Loop follow the same European rules, from the FIDA regulation to PSD3 and the EU AI Act. Finance Loop brings people from banks, fintech companies and investment firms in several European countries together at its events on payments and digital assets.
Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the institutional use of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
