K33

K33 is a Norwegian crypto broker from Oslo that buys, sells and holds crypto assets for private investors, companies and institutions. Each client gets a named client manager, trades through direct bank transfers in eight currencies, including Norwegian kroner and euros, and can keep crypto assets in the K33 Vault custody service or borrow against bitcoin.

K33 also runs a research unit that publishes weekly market reports on bitcoin, and its parent company K33 AB is listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market in Stockholm. In June 2026 the Norwegian supervisor Finanstilsynet authorized the subsidiary K33 Markets AS as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA.

From Arcane Crypto to K33

The research unit started in 2018 inside Arcane Crypto, which bought the Norwegian brokerage Kaupang Krypto in 2020 and listed in Stockholm in 2021 under the name Arcario. In 2023 the company brought its brokerage and research together under the brand K33, and the share now trades on Nasdaq First North under the ticker K33.

Torbjørn Bull Jenssen founded the company and leads it as chief executive, and he has advised the Norwegian central bank, the Ministry of Finance and Finanstilsynet on digital assets. K33 states that it works with major Norwegian banks, and the savings bank Høland og Setskog Sparebank is among the clients that K33 names.

Authorization under MiCA in Norway

Finanstilsynet authorized K33 Markets AS on 16 June 2026 under Article 63 of MiCA for custody and administration of crypto assets, execution of orders and transfer services for clients. K33 plans to add further services to the authorization over time and to serve private investors, companies, wealth managers and institutions across the EEA.

Norway applies MiCA as a member of the European Economic Area, so the authorization from Finanstilsynet works as a passport into the EU. The interim register of ESMA lists Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Greece as passport countries, and in July 2026 K33 reported that it had also completed the passport process for Germany.

Custody and loans against bitcoin

The K33 Vault keeps crypto assets for long-term clients with withdrawal rules that each client agrees individually, and K33 helps families plan how crypto assets pass to the next generation. Clients reach the custody team through a dedicated support line instead of a chat bot.

K33 Loans lets clients borrow USDC against bitcoin as collateral and convert the loan into Norwegian kroner, euros, dollars or five other currencies. Each loan has its own size, term and loan-to-value ratio, and a margin call or liquidation follows when the bitcoin price falls below the agreed thresholds.
