TUM Blockchain Club: The Student Blockchain Club in Munich
The TUM Blockchain Club is a legally registered non-profit organization under German law and an officially accredited student club at the Technical University of Munich. By its own account it is the biggest student-run blockchain club in Germany. Its motto is "Empowering People's Technology."
Its mission is to advance the student blockchain ecosystem and to create a community of academics, students, and professionals who support each other on their missions to use blockchain for good. Members work in departments such as Education, Industry, Web3 Talents, IT & Dev, and External Affairs. The club has organized more than 50 events, and its teams have won 16 hackathons. TUM Blockchain Club membership is open to all university students in Munich who join a department for at least two semesters.
TUM Blockchain Conference 2026 in Munich
From October 29 to 31, 2026, the TUM Blockchain Club holds the TUM Blockchain Conference 26 at the House of Communication Munich. The conference is "born at TUM" and "built for the entire blockchain ecosystem": students, developers, researchers, founders, policymakers, and industry leaders meet there. October 29 is the main conference day, with talks and panels from zero-knowledge cryptography to production systems.
On October 30, Bundesblock curates the Digital Assets Day for policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, and corporates. On October 30 and 31, builders of every skill level compete in the TUM Blockchain & AI Hackathon for €4,000 in prizes. The TUM Blockchain Conference 2025 drew more than 1,200 attendees and over 125 speakers, with 57 talks and 12 panels. The conference takes place every year; dates for the TUM Blockchain Conference 2027, the TUM Blockchain Conference 27, are not yet published.
Web3 Talents Program
Web3 Talents is a 20-week online education program for people who want to understand blockchain technology better. The program is run by the TUM Blockchain Club and it is free of charge. Its two courses, Blockchain Fundamentals and Web3 Applications, are peer-led and live, and no prior experience is needed.
The Web3 Talents program combines structured learning, expert input, and practical exchange. Participants can build relevant knowledge, expand their network, and earn a certificate after completion.
