Atlas oracle

Atlas is a blockchain oracle backed by CoinMarketCap that publishes configurable price feeds for smart contracts. It takes first-party data from more than 905 exchanges through CoinMarketCap and checks every value in a validation stack with four layers. Each protocol decides how its feed is aggregated, how often it updates and how it reaches the chain.

In May 2026, Atlas took over the oracle services that Binance Oracle had run on BNB Chain and opBNB, with a transition period of 90 days for the projects that used them. The lending protocol Venus and Lista DAO were among the first integrations on BNB Chain. Jin Choo leads Atlas as its chief executive and speaks for the company.

Configurable feeds and the Consensus Score

A protocol that orders a feed from Atlas chooses the aggregation method, which can be a median, a time-weighted or volume-weighted average, or a trimmed mean. It also sets an update cadence between one second and one day, staleness limits, confidence and deviation bands, and an outlier filter at three or five standard deviations. Presets cover stablecoin pegs, meme coins, perpetual futures on real-world assets and high-frequency trading on decentralized exchanges.

Each feed carries a Consensus Score between 0 and 1 that shows how far the sources agree, where 0.85 or more counts as healthy and a value below 0.40 as critical. If a venue fails, Atlas falls back to other venues or to the last known good value. Feeds reach the chain by push, by pull, as a hybrid of both or as signed data.

Chains and integrations

Atlas runs on Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Avalanche, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain and Sui, and more chains are planned. Atlas names Venus, Aster, Lista DAO and Circle as partners, and its exchange data includes Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX and Bybit.

Successor to Binance Oracle

On May 6, 2026, Atlas announced that it takes over the oracle services of Binance Oracle, meaning the price feeds and data delivery on BNB Chain, opBNB and other supported networks. Binance Oracle opened a transition period of 90 days, and projects that missed it risked interrupted service, missing data or delayed updates. Atlas chief executive Jin Choo said: "Our priority right now is the developers."

Projects that move from Binance Oracle to Atlas can set the aggregation method, staleness thresholds and update cadence per trading pair. Atlas states that it has completed integrations with Venus Protocol and Lista DAO, two of the larger lending protocols on BNB Chain.

What is the Atlas oracle?

Atlas is a blockchain oracle backed by CoinMarketCap that publishes configurable price feeds from more than 905 exchanges. Since May 2026, it has also run the former Binance Oracle feeds on BNB Chain and opBNB.

Atlas oracle API and data access

Protocols request a feed through Atlas and receive it onchain by push or pull, or as signed data that their own contracts verify. The underlying exchange data comes from the data infrastructure of CoinMarketCap.

How Atlas checks prices

Atlas validates every value in four layers and gives each feed a Consensus Score between 0 and 1. Outliers beyond three or five standard deviations are removed, and a failed venue is replaced by other venues or by the last known good value.

FastLane Atlas and OEV

FastLane Atlas is a different product with a similar name: an auction system for oracle extractable value, the profit from trading right after a fresh oracle update. Chainlink acquired the Atlas technology from FastLane in January 2026, and it is not related to the Atlas oracle backed by CoinMarketCap.

Atlas and Finance Loop

Finance Loop covers oracle networks in the Investment & Digital Assets track. Atlas belongs there because it brings exchange data from CoinMarketCap onchain for lending protocols on BNB Chain and other networks. Finance Loop held a panel on decentralized oracle networks for smart contracts in Frankfurt, a pre-event of the Crypto Assets Conference 2024.

Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
