BingX
BingX is a crypto exchange founded in 2018, which offers spot trading, futures and copy trading on its global platform. The company reports more than 40 million users worldwide, and it has sponsored Chelsea FC as principal partner since 2024.
For the European Economic Area, BingX set up the subsidiary BingX EU, whose legal name is MEGE zweite GmbH, with its seat in Vienna. The Austrian Financial Market Authority FMA authorized this company as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA in October 2026.
Authorization by the FMA under MiCA
The interim MiCA register of ESMA lists MEGE zweite GmbH under the trading name BingX EU, with the address Am Grünen Prater 2 in Vienna. The authorization under Article 63 of MiCA dates from 13 October 2026, and the FMA published its decision on the following day.
The register lists passports for 27 other countries of the European Economic Area, and Spain and Malta are not on that list. Austria remains the home member state, so the FMA supervises BingX EU in every country where the company serves customers under the passport.
Four services in the authorization
The authorization covers custody of crypto-assets for clients, the exchange of crypto-assets for funds and for other crypto-assets, and transfer services for clients. Customers in the EEA can therefore buy, sell, hold and send crypto-assets through BingX EU once the services start.
The register lists no operation of a trading platform, no execution of orders and no advice or portfolio management for the company. A CASP license names each authorized service separately, and BingX EU would need an extension from the FMA to add any of them.
Futures outside the MiCA authorization
The global platform of BingX offers perpetual futures and copy trading next to spot trading. MiCA covers no derivatives, since crypto derivatives count as financial instruments under MiFID II, so the Austrian authorization gives BingX EU no permission for futures.
Trending Topics reported on 15 October 2026 that BingX gave no launch date for European customers. The company said it was preparing the launch with the FMA and other regulators.

BingX exchange
The BingX exchange runs a spot market and a futures market, in which customers trade perpetual contracts with leverage. Only the spot side matches the four services that the MiCA authorization of BingX EU covers for customers in the EEA.
BingX EU and MEGE zweite GmbH
BingX EU is the trading name of MEGE zweite GmbH, the Austrian company that holds the MiCA authorization for the group. The Austrian commercial register lists the company under number FN 666009a, and its address is in the second district of Vienna.
BingX in Austria
BingX EU is one of the exchanges with a MiCA authorization in Austria, where the FMA supervises all four authorized services. Austrian customers pay tax on crypto gains under the rules of crypto tax in Austria, which apply a special rate of 27.5 percent.
BingX in Europe
BingX EU can serve customers in 27 other EEA countries through the European passport once each notification has gone through. Germany is on the list, which means the company needs no separate license from the BaFin for these four services.
BingX copy trading
Copy trading on BingX lets customers follow the trades of other traders with their own money, in spot and in futures markets. BingX has not said whether BingX EU will offer copy trading to customers in the EEA under its four authorized services.
