Bit2Me
Bit2Me is a Spanish platform where private customers, companies and institutions buy, sell, store and send more than 300 crypto assets. The company runs a mobile app with a wallet, a professional trading interface, a payment card that spends crypto at any shop, crypto-backed loans and a free service for earning returns on deposited assets.
Leif Ferreira co-founded Bit2Me in Spain more than ten years ago and leads it as chief executive. Spanish supervisors authorized the company under MiCA, the EU rulebook for crypto assets, and Bit2Me now passports its services from Spain into 29 further countries of the European Economic Area.
A Spanish platform with investors from banking and telecoms
Bit2Me calls itself the first crypto exchange registered with the Bank of Spain, which kept a registry of crypto providers before MiCA took over. According to CriptoNoticias, Telefónica Ventures and BBVA count among the backers, and the company has built a second market in Argentina.
In August 2025 Tether bought a minority stake in Bit2Me and led a funding round of 30 million euros, as The Block reported at the time. The money pays for the expansion across the European Union and for growth in Latin America, starting with Argentina.
Authorization under MiCA
The Spanish securities regulator CNMV authorized Bitcoinforme S.L., the company behind Bit2Me, as a crypto-asset service provider under Article 63 of MiCA. Bit2Me announced the approval at the end of July 2025, and the CNMV list of providers gives 31 October 2025 as the date from which the firm offers MiCA services.
The authorization covers custody of crypto assets for clients, exchange against euros and against other crypto assets, execution of orders, placing of crypto assets, reception and transmission of orders and transfers. The interim MiCA register of ESMA lists 29 host countries beyond Spain, which is the passport that a CASP license gives across the EEA.
Services for companies and institutions
Besides the retail app, Bit2Me sells institutional custody with insurance and round-the-clock support, a checkout that lets online shops accept crypto payments and an interface for banks and fintechs that want to offer crypto to their own customers. Crypto-backed loans go up to one million euros, with the deposited assets as collateral.
For these clients the MiCA license replaces the patchwork of national registrations, because one supervisor in Spain now oversees services that reach the whole MiCA area in Europe.

App, wallet and Earn
The Bit2Me app combines buying and selling with a wallet that stores, sends and receives crypto assets and euros. Earn is a free service in the app that pays returns on deposited assets, and those returns depend on the asset and on the conditions that Bit2Me publishes for each product.
Exchange, Pro trading and fees
Bit2Me Pro is the interface for professional and high-frequency trading, with low fees and tools that the simple buy screen of the app does not have. The fees differ between instant buying, Pro trading and card payments, and Bit2Me publishes the current fee schedule for each service on its website.
Card and cashback
The Bit2Me card lets customers spend their crypto assets at any shop that takes card payments, in Spain and abroad. Bit2Me advertises up to 30 percent back on card spending, and the rate a customer gets depends on the account level and on the conditions in force.
The B2M token and Space Center
B2M is the token of the Bit2Me ecosystem, and holders get exclusive advantages and access to advanced features on the platform. Space Center is the loyalty system that rewards activity on Bit2Me, so customers who use the platform more receive better conditions over time.
MiCA license in Spain
The Bit2Me MiCA license comes from the CNMV and makes the firm one of the first Spanish crypto platforms authorized under the new EU rules. Firms without such a license had to stop serving EU customers when the MiCA transitional period ended in their member state.
