DIA oracle

DIA is an oracle network that publishes data feeds for smart contracts, from crypto prices to prices of stocks, commodities and exchange rates. It builds the feeds from more than 100 data sources and covers more than 20,000 assets on more than 65 blockchains. DIA calls its oracles trustless, because anyone can trace each value of a feed from its source to the chain.

Protocols can order a feed to their own specification, with the sources, the pricing method and the update rule they choose. DIA states that more than 250 applications use its data, and the DIA Association publishes the project and its documentation. Holders can stake the DIA token to secure the network that processes the oracle updates.

Lumina and the Lasernet rollup

Since March 26, 2025, DIA runs its oracle stack Lumina on Lasernet, a layer-2 rollup on Ethereum built with Arbitrum technology for optimistic rollups and data availability. Feeders, the nodes of the network, fetch data directly from first-party sources such as exchanges, compute the values and publish them to Lasernet, where every oracle transaction is public. Hyperlane then carries the results from Lasernet to the chains where protocols read them.

The DIA Distributed Feeder Network is permissionless, so independent node operators can join and publish data to Lasernet. After the launch, Lumina oracles went live on Arbitrum, Optimism, Base and Sonic.

Feeds for crypto assets and real-world assets

DIA offers price feeds for digital assets and for real-world assets such as stocks and commodities, plus fundamental valuation feeds, random numbers and verifiable offchain data through zkTLS. A protocol chooses its own sources, pricing method and update trigger, and DIA builds the feed to that specification as a push oracle. The feeds for real-world assets serve the tokenization of real-world assets, where an onchain product tracks a market outside the blockchain.

DefiLlama counted $114 million in value secured by DIA feeds across 51 protocols in September 2026.

Staking and oracle grants

On June 24, 2025, DIA launched staking on mainnet together with the Oracle Grants program. Staked DIA tokens secure Lasernet, each participating chain has its own staking vault, and the staking rewards pay the oracle costs of protocols on that chain. Oracle Grants cover these costs for projects on more than 15 chains, among them Arbitrum, Avalanche and Somnia, for up to 12 months.

At the start, more than two million DIA tokens were staked in the vaults. Network fees flow back into Lasernet and add to the rewards of the stakers.

What is DIA crypto?

DIA crypto usually means the DIA token or the DIA oracle network as a whole. DIA publishes price feeds and other data for smart contracts, and holders stake the DIA token to secure the network that processes the oracle updates.

What DIA Lumina is

Lumina is the oracle stack DIA launched on mainnet in March 2025. Feeders publish data to Lasernet, a rollup on Ethereum, and Hyperlane delivers the results to the chains where applications read them.

Diadata and its API

Diadata is the web address of DIA, diadata.org, and many people search for the project under that name. Besides the onchain feeds, DIA offers its prices and datasets through an API for applications and analysts that work offchain.

What the DIA token is used for

Holders stake DIA to secure Lasernet, and the rewards from each staking vault pay the oracle costs of protocols on that chain. The token also gives its holders a vote in the governance of the DIA network.

DIA and Finance Loop

Finance Loop covers oracle networks in the Investment & Digital Assets track. DIA belongs there because its feeds for stocks, commodities and exchange rates bring prices of traditional markets to onchain products. Finance Loop held a panel on decentralized oracle networks for smart contracts in Frankfurt, a pre-event of the Crypto Assets Conference 2024.

Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
