Finst
Finst is a crypto exchange from Amsterdam where private investors buy and sell more than 400 crypto assets against euros and USDC. The platform charges a flat fee per trade without an added spread, and it offers Crypto Bundles that spread an investment over several assets with a monthly rebalancing, plus investment plans and staking.
The company was founded by the former core team of the online broker DEGIRO. The Dutch market regulator AFM authorized Finst in July 2025 as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA, and client assets are held segregated from the company on a one-to-one basis.
A broker team turned to crypto
The people behind Finst built the online broker DEGIRO before they started a crypto exchange with the same focus on low fees. Finst routes orders through a liquidity aggregator and sets no minimum volume, and it publishes its fee comparison with the date of each check.
Finst says that it was the first Dutch crypto exchange to obtain an extensive proof of reserves from an independent audit firm, and its custody provider uses multi-party computation with hardware isolation.
Authorization under MiCA
The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets authorized Finst B.V. on 24 July 2025 as a crypto-asset service provider under Article 63 of MiCA, with the number 41000015 in the AFM license registers, and on the same day Finst announced the license to its customers.
The authorization covers custody for clients, execution of orders, reception and transmission of orders and transfer services. The interim MiCA register of ESMA lists 29 host countries beyond the Netherlands, which is the full passport that a CASP license allows.
Crypto Bundles and staking
Crypto Bundles let a customer buy a basket of crypto assets with one order, and Finst rebalances each bundle once a month to its target weights. A bundle spreads one investment over several assets, so the result depends less on the price of a single coin.
Finst also offers staking without a lock-up period, with rewards paid every week, and investment plans that buy automatically. Rewards from staking depend on the network and are not guaranteed.

Trading 400 crypto assets in euros
Finst lists more than 400 crypto assets, which customers trade around the clock against euros or against the dollar stablecoin USDC. Each trade costs a flat fee of 0.15 percent, and Finst adds no spread on top of the market price it gets from its liquidity sources.
The Finst app
The Finst app runs on phones and tablets and includes everything the web platform has, from trading and bundles to portfolio analytics and staking. Customers sign up in the app, verify their identity and fund the account in euros before the first trade.
Crypto Bundles
A Crypto Bundle is a ready-made basket of crypto assets that customers buy and sell with a single click. The monthly rebalancing by Finst brings the weights of the assets in each bundle back to the plan after price moves.
Deposits and withdrawals
Customers deposit euros by bank transfer and can move crypto assets in from external wallets or withdraw them to a wallet of their own. Withdrawals of crypto assets fall under the transfer service of the MiCA license and under the rules of the travel rule.
AFM license under MiCA
The AFM license of Finst lets the firm offer its exchange in every country of the European Economic Area. Dutch providers without such an authorization had to stop serving customers when the MiCA transitional period in the Netherlands ended on 30 June 2025.
