Noah

Noah is a UK payments company that moves money between bank accounts and stablecoins for businesses such as remittance firms, marketplaces, payroll providers and crypto exchanges. Its customers receive euros or dollars into named virtual accounts, convert the money into stablecoins and pay it out to wallets or bank accounts in other countries through one API.

Noah LV SIA in Riga is the European company of the group. Latvijas Banka authorized it on 30 September 2026 as a crypto-asset service provider under MiCA and at the same time as a payment institution, so Noah can offer stablecoin services and euro transfers in the EU through one company.

Founders and investors

Shah Ramezani founded Noah and is its chief executive; he previously led the Asia division of The Hut Group and worked at Kingsway Capital, Lazard and UBS. The co-founder and president Thijn Lamers was part of the founding team of Adyen, where he later headed global sales as executive vice president.

Noah names Felix Capital, FJ Labs and LocalGlobe among its investors. In October 2026 the company raised a seed extension of 16 million dollars, which brought its seed funding to 38 million dollars, and it reported more than 150 new customers in 2026.

Authorization in Latvia

Latvijas Banka granted both licenses on 30 September 2026, and according to Noah the payment institution license took about one month and the CASP license about two months. The interim register of ESMA lists custody and administration of crypto assets, exchange of crypto assets for money, execution of orders for clients and transfers on behalf of clients.

The entry names 30 states of the European Economic Area, Latvia included, which a CASP license covers through the MiCA passport. After the decision on Noah, the number of MiCA authorizations granted by Latvijas Banka stood at twelve in early October 2026, Zitadelle reported.

Licenses outside the EU

Outside the EU Noah holds money transmitter licenses in the United States and a registration as a payment service provider in Canada. The company counts more than 40 licenses, registrations and approvals and says its network reaches more than 150 markets and 60 currencies.

Noah expects the new EU licenses to give it direct access to the SEPA network for euro transfers. Its security controls are audited under SOC 2 Type II, and customers share their KYC and KYB data with Noah once for all markets.

Upcoming payments events in Europe

What is Noah?

Noah is payment infrastructure for businesses that connects bank transfers with stablecoins. Platforms integrate it through an API and use it to collect money, convert it and pay it out across borders, and Noah also runs the identity checks of their customers.

Stablecoin payments for businesses

Noah lists remittances and currency exchange, trade and ecommerce, payroll, treasury management and crypto exchanges among its use cases. A business sets up a workflow once, and Noah converts each incoming bank payment into stablecoins and sends them to a chosen wallet address on a chosen network.

Virtual accounts in euros and dollars

With the product Payin a business gives each of its customers a named virtual bank account in a major currency, to which the customer pays by local bank transfer or SWIFT. Noah converts the incoming money into stablecoins, and the rules product Orchestration triggers payments by amount, timing, recipient type or currency.

Cash to stablecoin and back

Noah converts bank money into stablecoins and back for stablecoin payments, with the compliance checks of each market handled locally. In a partnership with the wallet maker Ledger, Noah provides regulated accounts in euros and dollars for its cash-to-stablecoin service.

Is Noah a crypto wallet?

Noah does not offer a wallet app for private customers and instead runs the accounts, conversions and payouts behind the apps of other companies. One partner that Noah names is MiniPay, the wallet of Opera, which connects its users to bank money through Noah.
