SCRYPT
SCRYPT is a Swiss digital asset firm with offices in Zug and Zurich that moves money for institutions in fiat currencies, stablecoins and crypto assets. Banks, payment firms, brokers, family offices and commodity traders use SCRYPT to convert, trade, hold and invest these assets through one account. Since 2019, the firm has moved more than $50 billion for over 350 institutional clients.
Many institutions have to pay suppliers abroad, settle crypto trades or hold stablecoins outside banking hours, and SCRYPT staffs its desk around the clock for that work. Clients trade on a web platform, connect their own systems through an API or call a named account manager on the desk. Each service sits in its own group company, and the company that manages client portfolios holds a FINMA license as a portfolio manager.
Stablecoin settlement and local currency payouts
SCRYPT converts fiat money into stablecoins and back, and pays out to a bank account, a wallet or a custodian that the client names. The fiat currencies live today include the euro, the Swiss franc, the US dollar, the British pound, the UAE dirham and the Brazilian real, paid over local rails such as SEPA, PIX, FPS, Fedwire and ACH or over SWIFT. Stablecoin legs reach onchain finality within minutes, and the client ledger is credited on the same day. Payment firms use this route as a stablecoin on- and off-ramp, and a stablecoin received on one network can be paid out on another.
In April 2026, SCRYPT added local settlement in UAE dirhams for its institutional clients. In July 2026, the firm opened four East African corridors, so firms can now go from the Kenyan shilling, the Tanzanian shilling, the Rwandan franc or the Ugandan shilling straight into stablecoins. This route skips buying scarce US dollars first, which SCRYPT calls the hardest part of a cross-border payment in most African markets.
Spot, OTC and FX trading around the clock
The SCRYPT trading desk quotes spot, OTC and FX prices 24 hours a day, across more than 250 assets and 4,000 trading pairs. A client can ask for a quote on a whole order and, after accepting it, receive the full order at that price, and market, limit, stop-limit and steady-pace orders are also available. Clients trade on a browser platform, through WebSocket and FIX connections, or by phone and chat with an account manager.
SCRYPT prices trades on a spread with no separate commission and confirms every quote in writing in the client chat before the trade. Qualifying institutional clients can trade without pre-funding against a credit line approved at onboarding, with batched or same-day settlement. The same desk handles quote, screening, execution, settlement and reconciliation, so a trade and its payment stay with one counterparty.
Custody with MPC keys and segregated wallets
For crypto custody, SCRYPT Digital Trading AG holds client assets in dedicated sub-wallets per asset and per client, spread over hot, warm and cold storage. Signing uses MPC threshold signatures and hardware security modules, so no single complete key exists, and every withdrawal passes a policy approval before it is signed and broadcast. Chainalysis screens each incoming deposit, and SCRYPT rejects deposits that fail this check.
Client assets are segregated from the assets of SCRYPT itself, and because they are not bank deposits, Swiss depositor protection does not cover them. Coincover provides key-loss protection, and ComSec and NCC Group run independent penetration tests of the systems. The custody service covers more than 150 blockchains and clients in more than 40 jurisdictions, with statements daily, weekly or monthly.
Asset management, DeFi lending and tokenized funds
SCRYPT Digital Investments AG runs strategies for professional clients under three names: Decentralised Lending, Money Market Fund and custom credit or market-neutral mandates. Decentralised Lending places assets in lending vaults on blue-chip DeFi protocols, and Gauntlet manages the risk of these vaults. SCRYPT announced the partnership with Gauntlet in February 2026 as a way into institutional DeFi through a Swiss-licensed portfolio manager.
The Money Market Fund strategy holds tokenized money market funds that invest in US government debt. In June 2026, SCRYPT also moved part of its own treasury into BENJI, the tokenized share of the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund, which gives the firm round-the-clock access to a yield-bearing fund. With VECTOR, banks and payment firms can offer yield on stablecoin balances under their own brand, while SCRYPT manages the money of each end client in a separate smart contract.

Offices in Zug and Zurich
The Swiss group companies are registered at Dammstrasse 16 in Zug, part of the Crypto Valley, and the firm has a second office at Talstrasse 41 in Zurich.
