Stripe Agentic Commerce Suite
The Stripe Agentic Commerce Suite is a set of Stripe products with which a business sells through AI agents. Stripe launched it on 11 December 2025 and describes it as one integration that makes products discoverable for agents, runs the checkout and accepts agentic payments. Payment runs with Shared Payment Tokens, so no card data passes from the agent to the seller.
Fashion and furniture brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, URBN, Revolve and Ashley Furniture were among the first users. Commerce platforms including Squarespace, Wix, Etsy, WooCommerce, commercetools and BigCommerce connect their merchants to the suite. Stripe co-developed the Agentic Commerce Protocol with OpenAI and processed the payments of Instant Checkout in ChatGPT.
What the suite contains
The announcement of December 2025 names three tasks: the seller publishes its product catalog to AI agents, the agent runs the checkout with the seller, and Stripe processes the payment. A seller sets up the connection once and reaches several agents without building an integration for each of them.
The seller remains the merchant of record and fulfills the order through its own systems. Stripe passes the order and the payment token, and the seller confirms or declines the purchase as in its web shop.
Brands and commerce platforms
Stripe named Coach, Kate Spade, URBN, Revolve, Ashley Furniture, Halara, Abt Electronics and Nectar as brands that use the suite. Their products can appear in AI agents that support the Agentic Commerce Protocol.
Squarespace, Wix, Etsy, WooCommerce, commercetools and BigCommerce offer the suite to the merchants on their platforms. A small shop on one of these platforms can therefore sell through agents without a development team of its own.
Payments with Shared Payment Tokens
The suite processes agent payments with Shared Payment Tokens, which are limited to one seller, a maximum amount and an expiry time. Since March 2026 these tokens also carry the network tokens of Mastercard Agent Pay and Visa Intelligent Commerce, and buy now, pay later from Affirm and Klarna.
Stripe and OpenAI
Stripe and OpenAI published the Agentic Commerce Protocol in September 2025 as an open standard, and Stripe processed the payments of Instant Checkout in ChatGPT from its start. When OpenAI moved its focus to product discovery in March 2026, it extended the same protocol to product catalogs.
