Michael Wutzke
Michael Wutzke (Mike) is a Technology Strategist and the initiator of Finance Loop, a professional network for emerging technologies in finance with more than 4,000 members. He has more than 20 years of experience in IT overall. His work in financial technology covers digital assets and crypto, including blockchain systems and payments.
His Solutions Architecture work covers data platforms, APIs, cloud and digital infrastructure, and the modernization of existing systems. Michael also works on technical and strategic partnerships through business development. His experience in go-to-market strategy includes taking technical products to institutional buyers.
Michael is open to permanent employment as well as interim and freelance assignments, working remotely or on site. His background in technical leadership includes leading IT teams and setting product direction.
Fintech Experience
From 2016 to 2021, Michael was responsible for numerous IT projects at Policen Direkt, a company in the insurance sector, including its AWS cloud infrastructure.
Michael worked at Blocksize Capital in 2022 as Head of Decentralized Finance and also held responsibility as Head of Node Operations. From January 2023 to November 2024, he was Chief Information Officer there. His work combined technical leadership with product development.
Michael personally won clients from banks, investment companies and funds. Since 2024, his fintech and growth advisory work includes autonomous agents for programming, data gathering, marketing and lead generation. Michael also explores self-coordinating teams of autonomous AI agents.
Financial Industry Engagement
Michael held technical and commercial partnership discussions with major institutions, such as Deutsche Börse Group, SIX Group and Moody's.
Michael is the initiator of Finance Loop, a professional network for emerging technologies in finance. Its members work in financial services and technology. His involvement includes exchanging views on digital assets, blockchain systems and the use of AI in finance.
As part of his work with Finance Loop, Michael participates in member assemblies of numerous associations, including Frankfurt Main Finance.
DTIF PAC Member
Mike is a member of the Product Advisory Committee of the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF). The foundation is the registration authority for ISO 24165, the International Organization for Standardization standard for Digital Token Identifiers (DTIs).
The committee advises on the use and issuance of DTIs and on product improvements for the registration authority.
Editor at Business Punk
Business Punk is a German-language business magazine and digital publication covering entrepreneurship, innovation and investment. Anlage Punk is its finance and investment format. Since January 2026, Michael has contributed editorial articles for Business Punk about digital assets, MiCA regulation and the digital euro, explaining financial technology to business readers. He has written four articles for the magazine in 2026.
In his assessment of crypto investing, published on 1 April 2026, he examines the claims made about the sector. One of his articles addresses MiCA, the EU regulation for crypto-assets, and what it means for investors; he discusses it in his account of the MiCA article.
Member of German Bitcoin Association
Michael Wutzke is a strong believer that bitcoin and smart contract powered blockchains can fulfill a wide range of demands the finance industry and beyond have. As a result, digital assets and blockchain systems offer a tremendous potential.
Michael is committed to ensuring that more people understand Bitcoin as a form of investment. He is a Founding Member of the German Bitcoin Association (BTCBV) and Member of their Educational Committee.
Member of FinFluencer Circle
The Finfluencer Circle is a community of finance and fintech influencers in Germany. Its members share their knowledge about investing, trading and economic developments.
Michael is a member of the circle. The group meets in person to discuss financial topics and possible collaborations. The Finfluencer Circle website introduces the community and its activities.
