w3.hub in Berlin

w3.hub is a workspace and event house at Möckernstraße 120 in Berlin Kreuzberg that calls itself "Berlin's Innovation & Startup Hub" and adds the line "The Premiere Builder Club". Its own description of who it is for reads "For builders in AI, Robotics, Quantum & Blockchain". The building is a listed factory loft from 1905, renovated in 2022, and sits at Gleisdreieck Park a few minutes from Möckernbrücke.

If you work on digital assets, payments or AI in finance and want a desk in Berlin with the evening program in the same building, w3.hub rents the desk and runs the events. It opened as the house of Berlin's web3 scene and widened its subject list in 2026, and the sources below date that change.

What w3.hub offers and who runs it

w3.hub is a commercial workspace operator with an event business attached. Its own numbers are 2,500 square meters over five floors, 110 or more members it describes as founders, engineers and researchers, around 70 events a year, and a community network it puts at 15,000 people. The space it sells covers coworking desks, private offices for teams of four to twelve, meeting rooms bookable by the hour or the day, and two event lofts of 500 square meters each that take up to 250 standing guests or 100 seated.

The legal entity is w3.hub GmbH & Co. KG at the same Möckernstraße address, with Isabell Kruse as managing director and the register entry HRA 61930 B at the Amtsgericht Charlottenburg in Berlin. w3.hub names w3.group as its operator and describes that group as a frontier tech ecosystem in Germany made up of an investment arm, an infrastructure provider and a media house. Its structured data gives 2022 as the founding year, and an outside portrait by the Berlin studio Visionary describes it as a coworking space, event venue and investment hub for the web3 scene of the city.

Beside the desk business w3.hub sells ecosystem tours, which it offers to corporate, investor and university groups as insider-led visits to the founders and funds around it, from a two-hour format to a program over several days. Ledger and Jägermeister appear as its house partners.

The pivot: from Berlin's home of web3 to four frontier fields

w3.hub changed its positioning in the summer of 2026, and the archived versions of its own homepage date the change within weeks. Until spring the site ran under one subject: the snapshot of April 11, 2026 carries the meta description "Berlin's Home of Web3", and the same line sits on every archived version back to 2025, while the earlier title through 2024 and into 2025 read "Web3 Native Co-Working, Private Offices & Event Space at w3.hub". The first archived version, from August 2023, called the house "the new home for Berlin's Web3 Community".

An intermediate step is visible in June. The snapshot of June 4, 2026 is titled "w3.hub | Web3, AI and Tech Coworking and Event Space Berlin" and puts the headline "Berlin's Home for Web3, AI and Frontier Tech" on the page, with AI added to web3 but robotics and quantum still absent. That version still describes the building as a 1,500 square meter factory loft over three floors.

By the end of July the current positioning was live. The snapshot of July 26, 2026 carries the title "w3.hub | Innovation & Startup Hub Berlin, AI, Robotics, Quantum & Blockchain" and the building has grown to 2,500 square meters over five floors. So the repositioning ran in two steps inside the second and third quarters of 2026: web3 only until April 11, web3 plus AI by June 4, and the four-field frontier tech framing by July 26. w3.hub's own footer dates the current state with the note "Last updated: August 2026", and the sitemap gives its pages a last modification of August 31, 2026.

The four topic verticals w3.hub names now

Under the heading "One roof. Four frontiers." w3.hub now lists artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum and blockchain, and it writes a sentence of its own for each. On AI it names LLM hack nights and the AI Agents Summit as the formats where Berlin's AI builders meet. On robotics it argues from the building, saying hardware needs space and the factory loft hosts robotics demos, workshops and teams working on embodied AI. On quantum it describes the house as the place where Berlin's quantum researchers and startups turn results into companies. On blockchain it writes "Our roots" and names itself the home of the Berlin Blockchain Festival.

That last line is the part worth reading twice: blockchain did not leave when the other three arrived. w3.hub kept the festival, kept the onchain builder description and kept the name w3. For a finance audience the new list is closer to a bank's own technology budget than the old one was, because a risk team writing model documentation, a payments team testing instant settlement and a treasury desk looking at tokenized funds sit across AI and blockchain at once.

The event program shows the shift reached the calendar, not only the wording. w3.hub runs its sign-ups through a public Luma calendar, and the listings there carry AI formats such as an ACT Berlin series described as AI Coworking Tuesday and a Berlin Builder HQ session on building with AI, alongside the onchain events. A newsletter issue of its own, dated July 24, 2026, reports a Claude meetup spread over two full floors to double the capacity after close to 1,000 sign-ups, split into an everyday-use floor and a floor for agentic systems and code.

What else changed with the repositioning

Two further changes run alongside the topic list, and the sources for them are w3.hub's own newsletter. The first is a move from community space to founder support. The issue that announces the next chapter names a preview for longer-standing members and partners on August 28, 2026 and a public launch on September 1, 2026, and describes the new work as support for revenue creation, go-to-market execution and tooling, beyond the space itself. The same issue states plainly that this is not an AI pivot, which is worth recording next to a homepage that now leads with AI: w3.hub's position is that the subject list widened while the business moved toward founder support.

The second is a name. The founder-support side appears under the name Circuit, described in the newsletter as Berlin's founders institution, and the organizer entries on the Luma calendar read "Circuit (prev. w3.hub)". The website at w3hub.berlin still trades as w3.hub, so both names are in use at the same time and the house at Möckernstraße 120 is the same address under either.

An earlier step in the same direction was already public in 2025. A newsletter issue of October 30, 2025 describes a transition from centralized governance to community-led ownership after two and a half years, with more than 30,000 visitors and more than 250 events behind it, and announces a conference on decentralized physical infrastructure networks for November 27 of that year.

Berlin Blockchain Festival and the week around it

The event w3.hub calls its own is the Berlin Blockchain Festival, held in its building. The festival's own site describes the 2026 edition as Europe's largest web3 festival with more than 7,000 attendees and more than 140 events, organized in festival layers it names Summit, Hacker, Builder, Bitvavo and Community, and it gives the venue as around 3,000 square meters over six floors, a larger figure than w3.hub states for itself. Its announced subjects run from DeFi and MiCAR insurance questions to institutional adoption and tokenized assets, which is where a festival of this kind meets the work finance teams are paid for.

The festival is the center of a wider week, and other organizers fill the rest of it. The festival site names a Berlin Alliance coordinating parallel events in the same days, among them the Solana Summit, DappCon, the Web3 Summit and the AI Agents Summit. Finance Loop has covered the Berlin program before: the German Blockchain & AI Week ran at w3.hub with more than 60 speakers, on subjects from decentralized versus centralized exchanges to tokenization and taxes. The city context around all of it is on the blockchain in Berlin and web3 in Berlin pages.

What is w3.hub?

w3.hub is a workspace and event house at Möckernstraße 120 in Berlin Kreuzberg for people building in AI, robotics, quantum and blockchain. It rents coworking desks, private offices for teams of four to twelve and meeting rooms, and it runs two event lofts of 500 square meters each for up to 250 guests. It describes itself as Berlin's innovation and startup hub and as a builder club, and it is operated by w3.group through the entity w3.hub GmbH & Co. KG.

Where is w3.hub in Berlin?

w3.hub is at Möckernstraße 120, 10963 Berlin, in Kreuzberg next to Gleisdreieck Park. The nearest stations it names are Möckernbrücke on the U1 and U7, Gleisdreieck on the U2 and U3, and Anhalter Bahnhof on the S1, S2, S25 and S26. The building is a listed factory from 1905, renovated in 2022, and w3.hub states step-free access throughout with no car parking on site.

Did w3.hub change its strategy?

Yes, in the summer of 2026, in two steps. Until April 11, 2026 the site described the house as "Berlin's Home of Web3"; by June 4, 2026 the headline read "Berlin's Home for Web3, AI and Frontier Tech"; and by July 26, 2026 the title named the four fields it uses now, AI, robotics, quantum and blockchain. Alongside the topic list w3.hub moved toward founder support, with a preview on August 28 and a public launch on September 1, 2026, and the founder-support side appears under the name Circuit. w3.hub states that the change is not an AI pivot, and it keeps blockchain on the page as "Our roots".

Who runs w3.hub?

w3.group operates w3.hub and describes itself as a frontier tech ecosystem in Germany with an investment arm, an infrastructure provider and a media house. The legal entity named in the imprint is w3.hub GmbH & Co. KG at Möckernstraße 120, with Isabell Kruse as managing director, registered at the Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under HRA 61930 B. Ledger and Jägermeister are listed as house partners.

Can you book w3.hub for an event?

Yes, and w3.hub opens its event space to members and outside clients alike. It offers two event lofts of 500 square meters each for conferences, hackathons, meetups, panels and private dinners, with a capacity it gives as up to 250 guests standing or 100 seated. Stage, sound, screens and streaming-ready equipment come with the room, and w3.hub names an in-house events team for planning and setup plus promotion to the people around the house. Requests go through its contact form, email or WhatsApp.

Is w3.hub the same as a Berlin web3 hub?

w3.hub is one house in Berlin, not the city's scene as a whole. It is the address people mean when they search for a web3 hub in Berlin, because it held that description itself until 2026 and still hosts the Berlin Blockchain Festival, but Berlin's blockchain and web3 work also runs through association offices, university groups and conferences with no single home. Bundesblock and the week of parallel conferences are on the blockchain in Berlin page, the builder and privacy side on web3 in Berlin. Munich has its own house of this kind in W3MUC, and Zurich has Trust Square.

w3.hub and Finance Loop

Finance Loop works on the same subjects in Germany that w3.hub now names on its own homepage, and the overlap grew with its repositioning: AI and blockchain in one house is the combination finance institutions budget for. Finance Loop members who follow the Berlin market find the city context on its web3 in Berlin and blockchain in Berlin pages, and the German Blockchain & AI Week at w3.hub in its event archive.

Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
