Cointelegraph
Cointelegraph is a digital media outlet for news on blockchain technology, digital assets, AI and fintech. It was founded in 2013 and publishes news, market reports, features, research and opinion in English, along with podcasts, newsletters and mobile apps. Its newsroom has team members in more than 50 countries.
Cointelegraph says its coverage is decided by the newsroom alone, and its editors and journalists work separately from the commercial and sales teams. Commissioned content that companies pay for runs in a separate section of the site. Besides journalism, Cointelegraph runs an accelerator, the marketing agency Formula and LONGITUDE, a series of events for institutional finance and Web3.
News, markets and research
The news section covers blockchain technology, digital assets, NFTs, gaming, AI and fintech, and the markets section adds price analysis of Bitcoin and other crypto assets. Features carry longer research pieces and opinion, and the magazine has regular columns such as Hodler's Digest and AI Eye. Readers follow Cointelegraph through newsletters, podcasts, an RSS feed and apps for iOS and Android.
Editorial policy and disclosures
The editorial policy, last updated in April 2026, sets a "three pairs of eyes" rule: the journalist, an editor and the copy desk review each piece before an automated check in the publishing system. Journalists disclose conflicts of interest, and contributors disclose crypto holdings worth more than 1,000 US dollars, with Bitcoin and Ether exempt. Errors are corrected and noted in the update log of the article.
AI may help with research and visuals but may not replace reporting, and substantial use of AI is disclosed. The policy also excludes gambling, casino and iGaming topics from all coverage on the site.
Cointelegraph in German
In 2018 Cointelegraph launched a German edition, CT Deutsch, with news from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The edition has since closed: de.cointelegraph.com no longer serves it, and the main site offers English as its only language.
German-language news on Bitcoin, blockchain and digital assets comes from BTC-ECHO, and the financial daily Börsen-Zeitung reports on banks and capital markets, digital assets included.
LONGITUDE events for institutional finance
LONGITUDE by Cointelegraph is an invitation-only event series for institutional finance and Web3. An edition brings together up to 350 senior decision-makers from banks, payment providers, asset managers, venture capital firms, custodians, market makers and regulators. Editions have taken place in Singapore, Dubai, Paris, Cannes, Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong; the Hong Kong edition ran during Consensus and the Paris edition during Paris Blockchain Week.
