S-PRO: software for banks, fintechs and tokenization
S-PRO is a software company from Switzerland that specializes in fintech and blockchain. Its history starts in 2014, "when we were founded as a small tech startup", as its about page says; from a team of five developers it has grown to more than 300 employees. S-PRO gives its address as Löwenstrasse 45 in Zurich and runs development centers in Zug, Zurich and Lodz in Poland.
S-PRO is an event partner of Finance Loop. With CoreLedger and Finemetal it hosted a Finance Loop evening on real-world asset tokenization at TechQuartier in Frankfurt.
What S-PRO builds
S-PRO offers technology consulting, software development with what it calls an "AI-native SDLC", and fintech products that it adapts to each customer. Its fields are digital banking, the modernization of core and legacy systems, and RWA tokenization. Among its clients it names the banks AMINA Bank, Sygnum and New Horizon Bank, and energy firms such as Modo and Camion Energy. According to S-PRO, 35 percent of its clients are from Switzerland and 25 percent from the USA.
S-PRO states its mission as "to build our customers' competitiveness in the constantly transforming digital world". For a bank, that work sits next to its own IT: the core banking system, the app, the interfaces to custodians and exchanges.
Software for banks and the rules behind it
A bank that hands software work to an outside firm stays responsible for it. Under DORA, the EU Digital Operational Resilience Act, a bank has to manage such firms as ICT third-party providers, with contracts, exit plans and a register of all its ICT arrangements. How BaFin applies these rules is on DORA in Germany.
Tokenization projects add a second layer. A tokenization platform has to handle issuance, custody of the tokens, the investor register and recovery when a user loses access. Which of these steps need a license depends on what the token is: a security, an e-money token or a crypto asset under MiCA. The basics are in What is tokenization of assets? and on tokenization platforms.
S-PRO and Finance Loop
One day before the Crypto Assets Conference 2025, S-PRO, CoreLedger and Finemetal hosted Unlocking the Value of Real-World Assets by Digitization at TechQuartier in Frankfurt. Michael Barskyi, Regional Account Executive of S-PRO, spoke on "Real Solutions for Real Businesses": blockchain and tokenization for businesses that want to reach new customer groups. S-PRO builds on CoreLedger's Token Economy Operating System (TEOS) and develops applications for traditional firms that do not know blockchain tools, with web interfaces and recovery options. A panel with all three companies closed the evening.
S-PRO is also listed among the event and network partners of Finance Loop and thanked in the review of the first year. The partner that built the token layer that evening is described on CoreLedger.
