Stakin
Stakin is a staking provider that operates validator nodes on more than 30 proof-of-stake blockchains, among them Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos and Sui. Token holders delegate to these validators and receive the network rewards, while the tokens never leave their own wallets. Stakin started as Stakin OÜ, a company under Estonian law, and has belonged to the New York data firm The Tie since January 2026.
Its clients include institutional investors, foundations, custodians, exchanges and private token holders, and the company counts more than 40,000 stakers. Stakin reports more than one billion dollars in assets under delegation and has run proof-of-stake infrastructure for more than eight years. Since 2022 it has also been a node operator for Chainlink and reports market prices to its oracle networks.
Non-custodial staking for institutions
In non-custodial staking the client keeps the private keys, and Stakin only runs the validator that the tokens are delegated to. For institutional investors Stakin has partnered with custodians, so a fund can stake from the custody account it already uses. Stakin backs this with contractual guarantees against missed rewards and slashing, covered by its company treasury and by third-party insurers.
Besides delegation, Stakin rents dedicated nodes and whitelabel nodes to firms that want their own validator under their own brand. The product list also covers IBC relayers for the Cosmos ecosystem, public RPC endpoints and ChainOps as a service, in which Stakin runs the node infrastructure of a blockchain project.
Stakin as a Chainlink node operator
In March 2022 Stakin joined the Chainlink network as a node operator, among the operators that serve data requests to Chainlink. Edouard Lavidalle, co-founder of Stakin, described the goal as bringing high-quality price data on chain. Later that year Stakin was one of 14 node operators that formed the first group of stake.link, the liquid staking protocol for LINK built by LinkPool.
On Ethereum mainnet, Stakin is one of the oracles of the BTC/USD price feed. Its node also reports for the AAVE/USD, stETH/USD and UNI/USD feeds, in which many independent operators submit values that the feed contract combines into one price. Lending protocols use these prices to value collateral, so a wrong or missing price would affect loans directly.
Stakin by The Tie
In January 2026 The Tie announced the purchase of Stakin and launched an Infrastructure Solutions division with it. The Tie sells intelligence, infrastructure and advisory services to institutions in digital assets, and Stakin was its first acquisition. Stakin keeps operating its validators as before, and the brand now reads Stakin by The Tie.
All 15 employees of Stakin, including co-founder and chief executive Edouard Lavidalle, joined The Tie with the deal. The legal entity behind the staking service changed from Stakin OÜ to The Tie Inc.

How staking rewards reach delegators
The network pays the staking rewards to the delegators of a validator, and Stakin keeps a commission on the rewards that its validators earn. On most networks the commission rate is set per validator on chain and differs from network to network. If a Stakin validator misses rewards or is slashed, the contractual guarantee for institutional clients covers the loss.
Which networks Stakin supports
Stakin supports more than 30 proof-of-stake networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Sui, Monad, Aleo, Avail and 0G. Polygon and Polkadot were among the networks that Stakin already served when it joined Chainlink in 2022.
Security audits and certifications
In September 2026 Stakin by The Tie completed a SOC 2 Type II audit of its non-custodial staking service after a 90-day observation period. Stakin also holds an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for its information security management.
Stakin and Finance Loop
Finance Loop covers staking and oracle infrastructure in the track Investment & Digital Assets. Stakin connects both fields: its validators stake for custodians and funds, and its Chainlink node reports the BTC/USD price that lending protocols on Ethereum read.
Finance Loop is a professional network and has the goal of driving the adoption of emerging technologies in finance, such as AI, tokenization, stablecoins, and DeFi. Finance Loop helps its members build skills and personal networks in these fields: Investment & Digital Assets, Payments & Digital Money, Digital Infrastructure & Sovereignty, and Risk & Compliance.
