Bitpanda Enterprise
Bitpanda Enterprise is the business-to-business unit of Bitpanda, the investment platform founded in Vienna in 2014. It sells the technology behind the Bitpanda app to banks, brokers, fintechs and payment firms, so that they can offer crypto and other digital assets to their own customers. Bitpanda launched the brand in March 2026 as the successor of Bitpanda Technology Solutions.
A bank that wants its customers to buy bitcoin inside its own app would otherwise need trading connections, custody, compliance checks and a license of its own. Bitpanda Enterprise supplies these parts as one platform with six products, from investing and custody to liquidity, payments, stablecoins and tokenization. Partners can run the products under the licenses of Bitpanda or under their own.
Investment-as-a-Service for banks and fintechs
Investment-as-a-Service is the original product, which Bitpanda ran for more than five years under the name Bitpanda Technology Solutions. Partners connect through one API and can offer more than 650 crypto assets and over 10,000 stocks, ETFs, metals and commodities. A partner keeps its own app or uses a configurable interface from Bitpanda, and Bitpanda puts the time from first scope to launch at under six months.
The two operating models differ in who holds the license. In the first, the partner launches under the licenses of Bitpanda; in the second, an established institution brings its own license and takes only selected modules such as custody or execution. Through its partners the platform reaches more than 30 million end users.
Custody, liquidity and crypto payments
The custody product keeps keys in hardware security modules certified to FIPS 140-2 Level 3. Approvals follow rules that the client sets, such as quorums, address allowlists and spending limits. A bank can let Bitpanda run the signing infrastructure or install it in its own data center, online or fully offline. Bitpanda Custody grew out of the purchase of Trustology in 2022.
The liquidity desk trades as principal counterparty in up to 60 digital assets, with prices over a FIX API or a browser interface and net settlement on the next business day. Bank Frick and BCB Group handle the fiat side of that settlement. With Crypto Pay by Bitpanda, merchants accept crypto at checkout and receive euros, under the PSD2 license of Bitpanda Payments GmbH.
Stablecoins and tokenization
Banks and companies can issue a stablecoin of their own on the platform, deployed as an ERC-20 or ERC-1400 token. Minting and burning run through a policy engine, and Bitpanda Custody holds the treasury keys. The issuer either runs the token itself or leaves daily operations to Bitpanda as issuer service.
For tokenized securities and other real-world assets, Bitpanda runs Vision Chain, a layer-2 network that is compatible with Ethereum. KYC checks and transfer rules are enforced on the chain itself, so that an issuer can restrict who may hold a token.
Licenses and supervision
Bitpanda holds three licenses under MiCA, granted by BaFin in Germany, the FMA in Austria and the financial supervisor in Malta. Outside the EU it is licensed by VARA in Dubai and registered with the FCA in the United Kingdom. Investment-as-a-Service also works under MiFID II and the e-money rules, and the infrastructure is certified to ISO 27001 and audited under SOC 2.

What happened to Bitpanda Technology Solutions?
Bitpanda Technology Solutions is now part of Bitpanda Enterprise. On 4 March 2026 Bitpanda brought its institutional services together under the new brand, and the former white-label business continues as Investment-as-a-Service.
White label crypto trading for banks
A white label setup lets a bank sell crypto under its own name while Bitpanda runs trading, custody and settlement in the background. The bank decides which assets and features its customers see, and either builds its own interface or uses the configurable interface from Bitpanda.
Which banks in Germany work with Bitpanda?
LBBW in Stuttgart builds crypto custody and trading for its corporate clients on the technology of Bitpanda. Deutsche Bank announced that it would start crypto custody in 2026 with Bitpanda and Taurus, as The Block reported. The Frankfurt trading platform 360T of Deutsche Börse also uses the services of Bitpanda for its institutional clients.
Who holds the keys in institutional custody?
The keys stay inside hardware security modules, and no application access can read them out. In the custodial model Bitpanda operates the modules while the client keeps the approval rules. In the non-custodial model the client runs the signing hardware in its own environment, and an encrypted key export allows a move to another provider.
