Flowdesk

Flowdesk is a trading and technology firm for digital assets, founded in Paris in 2020 by Guilhem Chaumont and three co-founders. Flowdesk provides liquidity for tokens, stablecoins and exchanges on more than 150 trading venues, runs an OTC desk for spot trades, derivatives and credit, and invests in crypto companies through its venture arm.

The clients of Flowdesk are token issuers, exchanges and institutional investors that need a counterparty around the clock. Its French company Flowdesk Europe SAS received a MiCA authorization from the French regulator AMF in June 2026, and the group also holds a broker-dealer license in Dubai.

From Paris to Singapore, the United States and Dubai

Guilhem Chaumont leads the Flowdesk group as co-founder and chief executive, and Thomas Jeulin presides over Flowdesk Europe in Paris. The firm opened an office in Singapore in 2022 and one in the United States in 2023, and its Dubai company Flowdesk Omega FZE received a license for broker-dealer services from the regulator VARA on 7 August 2026.

Flowdesk raised 30 million US dollars in a Series A in 2022 and 50 million in a Series B led by Cathay Innovation in 2024. A round of 102 million US dollars in equity and debt followed in 2025 with HV Capital and funds managed by BlackRock.

Authorization under MiCA

The AMF authorized Flowdesk Europe SAS on 25 June 2026 as a crypto-asset service provider under Article 63 of MiCA, with the number A2026-022 on its white list of authorized providers. The authorization covers custody and administration of crypto assets, exchange of crypto assets for funds and for other crypto assets, execution of orders for clients and transfer services.

The ESMA interim MiCA register lists passport notifications for ten further countries, among them Germany, Spain, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. Flowdesk announced the authorization on 29 June 2026, one day before the end of the MiCA transitional period in France.

What token issuers and institutions use Flowdesk for

A token issuer that lists on exchanges hires a market maker to keep buy and sell orders in the order book, and Flowdesk runs this with its own algorithms and risk tools. Exchanges use the same service for new trading pairs, and stablecoin issuers can use it to keep their token close to its reference price on many venues.

Institutions trade with the OTC desk of Flowdesk when they move large amounts in spot or derivatives. Under MiCA a European bank or asset manager can check the authorization of Flowdesk Europe SAS in the public register before it signs a trading agreement.

What is Flowdesk?

Flowdesk is a crypto trading firm from Paris that combines crypto market making, OTC trading and its own trading technology. Flowdesk trades more than 1,000 asset pairs on more than 150 venues and works around the clock on every day of the year.

Market making for token issuers and exchanges

As a market maker, Flowdesk places buy and sell orders on both sides of the order book and earns the spread. The agreement with a token issuer or an exchange sets the spread, the order depth and the hours of quoting, which the issuer can check against the order book data of each venue.

OTC trading, derivatives and credit

The OTC desk of Flowdesk trades large blocks in spot crypto assets outside the public order book and also offers derivatives and credit to institutional clients. A fund or a corporate treasury can trade in this way without moving the market price.

Flowdesk Europe and the other group companies

The group works through national companies, among them Flowdesk Europe SAS in Paris and Flowdesk Omega FZE in Dubai, and it has an office in Singapore. The MiCA authorization belongs to Flowdesk Europe SAS, so EU clients who want a counterparty under MiCA contract with that company.

Funding and investors

Flowdesk raised a Series A of 30 million US dollars in 2022, a Series B of 50 million US dollars led by Cathay Innovation in 2024 and 102 million US dollars in equity and debt in 2025. In 2025 the firm also arranged a credit facility of 100 million US dollars from Two Prime, secured by bitcoin.
