An evening for institutional finance technology
Finance Loop and Frankfurt Main Finance are inviting finance professionals to Digital Finance Night together with Venturebloxx. Jones Day hosts the evening at its Frankfurt office. The event is for people at banks, asset managers and financial market infrastructure providers, as well as firms integrating digital assets into institutional business processes.
Short presentations and a moderated question session lead into time for conversations. The subjects include tokenization, digital identity and digital asset infrastructure. Participants preparing a project can compare perspectives from financial institutions, technology providers and legal advisors in the same room.
Speakers and announced subjects
- Andreas Glänzel of Frankfurt Main Finance opens the professional program with a welcome to Frankfurt as a financial center.
- Nick Wittek represents Jones Day in the program.
- Kim Beuttler of DWS Group addresses the tokenized economy.
- Dr. Tom-Michael Hesse of Sopra Financial Technology discusses lending against crypto assets.
- Patrick Hennes of DZ PRIVATBANK examines trusted digital identity and connections between traditional and decentralized finance.
- Sebastian Feuster of Sopra Steria considers the case for a digital euro in Europe.
- Ilja Tomilin of Tangany addresses liability umbrella arrangements under MiCAR.
The presentations are in English. Participants can ask questions after the professional contributions and continue their conversations during networking. The program may change.
Tokenization in institutional operations
Tokenized assets can represent instruments such as bonds or fund shares on a blockchain. For a financial institution, the work extends beyond issuing a token: the assets need custody and integration with existing operations. Perspectives from different parts of the industry help connect those responsibilities.
DWS Group brings an asset management perspective to the evening. The program also addresses lending and digital identity. Participants can relate the presentations to their own project questions: What role does a digital asset have in the business model? Which partners are needed to use it?
Partners from finance and technology
Frankfurt Main Finance and Finance Loop are organizing the exchange together with Venturebloxx. Jones Day provides the venue in the Nextower. The published partner group also names DZ BANK, DWS Group, Tangany, 21X, Sopra Steria, Sopra Financial Technology and the German Blockchain Association, Bundesblock.
DZ BANK represents cooperative banking in the partner group; Patrick Hennes speaks for DZ PRIVATBANK. Custody provider Tangany contributes through Ilja Tomilin. The platform 21X focuses on trading and settlement of tokenized financial instruments. Technology perspectives also come from Sopra Steria and Sopra Financial Technology. The association Bundesblock is another member of the partner group.
